Blending Gone Wrong

Ladies, I haven't been doing much eye makeup on myself and I don't know who to blame, my brushes or me! Even with the slightest dip into a color, it comes on very awkward on my lids. I am starting to think that I need to switch blending brushes because my lids are actually smaller than most brushes. I don't know... I need help... Any suggestions as far as blending goes and brushes??

It could be a number of things. When I first started with colorful looks (which wasn't too long ago, late 2007) I always thought it was my brushes. Thinking I was using the wrong kind, sizes, shapes etc. Then I blamed it on my eyeshadows and some were MAC. Eventually I finally realized it was my technique and heavy hand to blame. I remember watching gurus using a huge ass fluffy pointy blending brush and just swiping it over their crease to create a flawless look. When I tried it I completely butchered my look lol So for me it was my technique and heavy hand :( I'm getting better slowly, but surely. Once January comes for my cosmetology classes I hope to learn more and better my application ^_^

I always thought your looks were great so not sure why you are starting to question yourself :( Perhaps the lack of doing looks lately? I've had that when I took a break then when I got back to applying eye makeup again it was like trying to relearn what I already knew.

awww... dont worry girl, I don't think you're the only one that feels that way -- I get crazed at times myself, we watch youtube vids, we get inspired - we try it ourselves and it turns into wtF!
i think it's all about the practice... i, myself am considering a cosmetology class, couldn't hurt right?
